Course Reserves: Troubleshooting

This is a comprehensive guide aimed at Drexel University Faculty to help you through any and all processes related to our course reserves system.

Troubleshooting

NOTICE: There has been an identified issue between the new course reserves tool (Leganto) and Blackboard for some cross-listed courses. In this issue, despite what it says on the instructor's end in both Blackboard and Leganto, some students cannot see the list of course reserves. The issue was reported to our software's parent company, ExLibris, immediately (in March). The official fix for this issue will be rolled out in a software update sometime this month (June 2024). In the mean time, if you experience issues with this, please contact us at reserve@drexel.edu immediately, and we will work together on a temporary solution that best suits you and your students.

One of the most important things you can do to help the reserves team understand any issues you may be having is to take screenshots of what you're seeing. Providing screenshots in emails help us to diagnose issues more quickly, and provide solutions (or elevate the issue to others as needed). Not sure how to take a screenshot? Read on for instructions:

PLEASE NOTE: DIRECTIONS FOR TAKING A SCREENSHOT DIFFER IF YOU ARE ON A MAC (a computer made by Apple) OR PC (any computer not made by Apple). Please make sure you are following the instructions for the type of computer you are using.

To take a screenshot on a PC, follow these steps:

  1. Press the shift button at the same time as pressing the ctrl button on the lower left side of your keyboard.
  2. While still holding those down, press the print screen button at the top of your keyboard. See picture for reference:

  1. After holding down all three buttons at the same time for 2 seconds, your computer will have taken a screenshot. Press ctrl and V at the same time to paste the screenshot into an email or message.

  4. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screenshot to save to your desktop.
