Call for Expressions of Interest to host the 10th international Evidence Based Library and Information Practice Conference (EBLIP 10) in 2019
A dynamic host is sought by the International Advisory Committee (IAC) of the international Evidence Based Library and Information Practice (EBLIP) Conference series for the 10th international Evidence Based Library and Information Practice Conference in 2019.
Those interested are invited to submit Expressions of Interest identifying capacity and venue to host this international gathering of practitioners, researchers, and students.
The EBLIP Conference is a biennial conference designed to promote the use of best available evidence to improve library and information practice in libraries of all types. It aims to bring together practitioners, researchers and students involved in critical and reflective information practice to think through new ways to address contemporary issues of evidence based practice in less isolated, more collaborative, ways.
The first EBL(IP) Conference took place in Sheffield, UK in 2001. The success of this conference led to further successful conferences in Edmonton (Canada, 2003), Brisbane (Australia, 2005), Chapel Hill (USA, 2007), Stockholm (Sweden, 2009), Salford (UK, 2011), Saskatoon (Canada, 2013), Brisbane (Australia, 2015), and Philadelphia (USA, 2017).
Candidates (individuals, organizations, and associations working in the public sector) wishing to host the Conference must apply to John Wiggins at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, November 30, 2017, using the EBLIP 10 Expression of Interest Template. Information on the requirements for hosting EBLIP10 are available in the EBLIP 10 Supporting Details Booklet. Both documents are available by download below below this text.
The EBLIP International Advisory Committee (IAC), comprised of representatives from the previous hosts, will be responsible for reviewing Expressions of Interests received and selecting the venue for the EBLIP 10 conference.
