Welcome to the REFRESH online module
REFRESH provides an introduction to locating evidence-based material using resources licensed by the Drexel University Libraries. This session will detail how to formulate a clinical question and discuss levels of evidence. A demonstration of PubMed’s Clinical Queries search feature, DynaMed, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews will be included. Specific features in Clinical Key and AccessMedicine will also be explored.
The text of the modules will appear on the left-hand side of the screen. To navigate through the module, simply click the "next" button on the left-hand side of the screen. You can always select the "back" button if you want to review a section.
Occasionally, the module will encourage you to open a new tab and explore a resource on your own. Simply click the link within the text, and a new tab will open in your browser. Click that tab (without closing the module) to explore the research, than close it and come back to the module when you are ready to move on.
Before we begin, let's ensure that your Drexel account is set up. The information you use to log in to your computers and Drexel e-mail will be the same log-in information you use for Drexel Libraries resources.
Navigate to the Health Sciences Resources from Drexel Libraries, and select the PubMed link.
You will be prompted to enter your log-in information. Once you have successfully logged in, continue with this course.
