Retired Research Guide

Start with the resources on this page, especially Bloomsbury Design Library and our search tool, DragonSearch. Want more online art history resources? Check out Art + Design Online.

Finding Books + Articles

Books and articles are your best bet for doing research in design history. Search DragonSearch (below). Keyword search by artist or time period or material such as Arts and Crafts Movement or mid-century modern furniture.

Tip: search words as a phrase by placing them in quotes (for example, "Herman Miller"). Can't find what you need? Contact a Librarian!

Now when you use Google Scholar, a link to full-text items at Drexel University Libraries will appear (GetIt@Drexel). Click this link and it will direct you to the full-text (or search for the article or book title in DragonSearch). Questions? Ask a Librarian!
