Legacy Research Guide

NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM   NAICS is used by Federal agencies to classify businesses in order to analyze and publish data about the business economy. It replaces the older Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. You will see NAICS and SIC codes in many of the business resources and can even search by code.

ANNUAL REPORTS   You can find annual reports in Mergent Intellect, but they are sometimes available on the internet.

  • Check your company's website. If the site has a search function, look for "annual report."
  • Search the web for your company's name and "annual report."
  • Use the SEC database EDGAR. Companies file 10-K forms.
