Wide-ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (WONDER)

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Access to a wide array of public health information resources from the CDC in multiple databases, available to public health professionals and the public at large; includes births, fetal deaths, infant deaths. Online search form can subset data.
National Survey of Family Growth

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) gathers information on pregnancy and births, marriage and cohabitation, infertility, use of contraception, family life, and general and reproductive health. The survey sample is designed to produce national data, not estimates for individual states. Downloadable SAS datasets.
Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Health-related telephone survey data (all 50 states) regarding health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, an duse of preventive services; ~400,000 interviews/year. Downloadable ASCII/SAS datasets for most current year only.
Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Surveillance collection jurisdiction-specific, population-based data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy; covers ~81% of all US births. Request data via research proposal to CDC; 2months for approval, 2-3 weeks for shipping via FedEx.
Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study

Princeton University/Columbia University Ongoing national cohort study based on a stratified, multistage sample of 4898 children vorn in large US cities (population over 200,000) between 1998 and 2000. Downloadable datasets; some data are restricted-use.

Children & Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) Summary statistics are based on CAHMI analysis of the National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH). All data are weighted to represent the national, state, and regional population of children.

Children & Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI)

Findings from national data on children with autism spectrum disorder and complementary and alternative medicine use in children from the 2012 NHIS Child CAM Supplement, linked to NHIS Family and Sample Child datasets, to produce the child-level national and Census regions data findings.

The CAMHI has evaluated and produced results from the Survey of Pathways to Diagnosis and Services (Pathways) survey so that it is relevant to parents, researchers, community health providers, and anyone interested in autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, or intellectual disability.

Children & Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) The MCH Measures Compendium currently contains 13 measurement sets which represent 71 measurement topics and over 1,000 measures. Annual updates are conducted for each program and initiative and new measurement sets are periodically added.
