Introduction

Big Data Everywhere Introduction
Helping library communities become more data-literate should be a priority for many librarians. Many of us have large amounts of personal data -- from our cell phones to our computers to our smart devices, whether or not we know it, we are supplying a lot of data to businesses and the government. It will be increasingly important for information professionals to be able to navigate this topic and to be able to offer the most accurate, useful guidance possible.

This guide will help library professionals learn more about what big data is, some of the current debates and issues with big data, and resources specifically for librarians.
