2023 Welcome Week Events

We are so excited to welcome new students to Drexel University this September!

Throughout the week before classes officially start -- called Welcome Week -- you'll have plenty of opportunities to get to know the Drexel Libraries through guided tours, resource fairs and our open houses. Check out the schedule below or visit our website for details. We’re excited to get to know all of our new students--and we want you to get to know us!

Stop by the W. W. Hagerty Library during our Welcome Week Open House events for free snacks, DUL swag, and a chance to explore the Libraries' resources, services, and study spaces. While you're here, stop by the Service Desk and say hello to our staff or take our self-guided tour of the Library. Click here to download a copy of the self-guided tour, or pick up a copy at the Welcome Table on the first floor.

Whether you're new to campus or returning after the term break, we want to welcome you to Drexel!

Join the Libraries staff outside the Library Learning Terrace (located at 3300 Race Street – ground floor of Race Hall) for good conversation and some of Philly's famous water ice (that's pronounced 'wooder’) for you Philly newbs) from Siddiq’s in West Philadelphia.

Get there early - the event ends when the water ice runs out!

Explore the Drexel Libraries before classes begin! Take a guided tour of the W. W. Hagerty Library and learn about all the ways we can help you throughout your career at Drexel. Our staff will show you around the building so you know exactly where to go to find study spaces, printers & scanners, group study rooms and more. 

The tour starts by the Service Desk on the first floor of the W. W. Hagerty Library - remember to bring your Dragon Card (or other ID) to enter the building.

The W. W. Hagerty Library is located in the heart of Drexel's University City campus at 33rd & Market Streets. As you tour the building, you'll find lots of different seating options, equipment you can use, and friendly staff who are here to support you throughout your career at Drexel.

Remember: we're online too! Be sure to take a "tour" of our website (www.library.drexel.edu), where you can find e-books and journals, reserve a group study room, chat online with a librarian, and much more.
