Frequently Asked Questions

How do I request a book, article, or other media for my course?

Books and other media for your class can be placed on course reserve using Blackboard Learn or by contacting the reserves staff at reserves@drexel.edu. Visit our website for step-by-step instructions on placing reserves requests. 

 

How do I request books, media, or other resources for my research or for the Libraries' collection?

Please submit all requests using the purchase request form or email LibAssist@drexel.libanswers.com

 

How do I schedule a library tour or instruction session for my students?

The Libraries offers directed curricular support, including tours of the W. W. Hagerty Library and UNIV 101 sessions, based on staff availability. Please submit a Library session request form or email LibAssist@drexel.libanswers.com to discuss your instructional needs.

 

Do Drexel faculty have borrowing privileges at the University of Pennsylvania libraries?

Yes, Drexel faculty and graduate students have reciprocal borrowing and facilities privileges with the University of Pennsylvania and other PALCI member libraries. Visit our website for more information on reciprocal borrowing agreements and for a list of participating libraries.

 

Does the Drexel Libraries have a librarian assigned to each department?

Members of the Drexel Libraries' Disciplinary Support Teams offer a variety of consultation services for students, faculty, and staff, including help with course-related projects, strategies for finding and evaluating authoritative information, and approaches to utilizing, organizing, and presenting scholarship. Do faculty outside the Kline School of Law have access to the Legal Research Center (LRC) resources?

All Drexel faculty and staff may access the LRC with a valid Drexel faculty/staff ID. Some databases are restricted to School of Law patrons only. Note that undergraduate and graduate students may access the Legal Research Center during off-peak hours only (Monday-Friday after 6:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday during all open hours).
