Install a Word-Processor Plugin

To install the plug-in, after your initial Mendeley install:

  • Make certain your Word Processor is closed
  • Click on the Tools menu within Mendeley Desktop and select the option for the desired word processor.
  • The Mendeley tool will appear in a different location depending on the word processing software you’re using; under the References tab on Word for Windows and as a separate panel on Word for Microsoft

  • After a citation has been inserted, you may change the citation style using the Style drop-down box.

Create a Bibliography

  • After at least one citation has been added to your document, place your cursor where you want your bibliography, then click I"nsert Bibliography"
  • Click the Refresh option to update the bibliography as you add more citations.
